Bobcat Update

As we shared earlier this week we are currently working to rehabilitate a bobcat that came in after being hit by a car. We discovered that he suffered from a broken humerus and did require surgery in order to repair it. Friday he went to Busch Gardens Tampa for the surgery which way very long and intense. This surgery was complicated because bobcats muscles are extremely dense but Dr. Pete and Dr. Mike were able to get the job done. The bobcat is currently staying with the animal care specialists at Busch Gardens while he is resting and relaxing on his road to recovery. We great appreciate all of the kind thought and words of support and will continue to keep you posted on this case.

If you happen to find any wildlife in trouble please make sure you report it to a licensed rescue organization like Owl’s Nest Sanctuary for Wildlife. We also ask that you consider making a donation to Owl’s Nest Sanctuary for Wildlife so that we may continue our work to conserve and protect wildlife in the Tampa Bay Area.
