Owl’s Nest and Eco Fest
The City of Tarpon Springs Recreation Division has teamed up with Keep Pinellas Beautiful for a great day of environmental awareness. Join us this Saturday, May 5th from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Craig Park for an afternoon of community, eco friendly vendors, music, food and fun!
Look for us at the Owl’s Nest Sanctuary for Wildlife Tent to see what eco ambassadors are attending. You never know who we will be bringing to the party, Noelle the Screech Owl, Pascal the Possum or Rigby the Great Horned Owl just to name a few. We’d love to share our latest cases and will happily answer your wildlife questions.
The event is FREE and open to the public. There will be crafts and a bounce house for the kids. We will also have a pizza vendor with drinks. Make sure to bring cash for the food vendor. And yes, there will be free trees given away, according to Ashley Harter, the special events coordinator for the city’s Parks and Recreation Department.
